Stripping a dresser

Well, I decided to strip a dresser I got from Goodwill. Here is what was under the paint! I am so excited!

So the news says we are going to get another ice storm tonight, so that will be fun. So its picture time!

Christmas at Poppy and Meme's House

To kick off the holiday season Addison and Oliver went to a party on Saturday December 22nd where Santa was the guest of honor. After Santa arrived the four of us took off for Poppy and Meme's house before the terrible snow storm arrived in Davenport.

When we got to Poppy's house there was a wonderful surprise waiting for us...Douglas, Linda, and Brooklyn were there from Louisiana! We had a wonderful visit.

On Christmas Eve all of us went to Poppy's work to look at the snow plows. Addison, Oliver, and Brooklyn like the snow plows.

Later that night we had a big get-together where Addison and Oliver received a WAGON from Grandma Helen. Addison did not want to get out!

Thank you so much for the wagon Grandma. It is a present that the boys will use for years to come.

Little Snow Bunny

As you can see, Addison loves the taste of newly fallen snow. Nummy-nummy! Mmmmm...water. We needed hot chocolate to coax him inside. He loves the snow and just before coming inside he told Daddy that he was swimming.

So this year we decided to go with the natural looking icicle lights on the house. Hope they don't melt until January...I didn't get the extended warranty.

Official Stat Correction Notice. He was actually 5lbs 7 ozs, but is now 5lbs 4ozs and he is 18" long. Somehow in my distracted state yesterday, I forgot that part. Imagine that. Anyway, here are a couple more pictures to satisfy the masses.

Announcing Oliver Daniel Bailey

Arriving at 3:27pm CST; Dan & Michelle would like to announce to the world our newest addition: Oliver Daniel Bailey, weighing in at 5lbs 6 ozs. He's a little on the small side, but all checks out ok. Michelle is doing ok other then being tired. I'll post more once we are home, which should take place Wed sometime.

Breaking news (sorta)

So the Midwives have decided it time to have a baby, so we'll be heading to the hospital around 4pm Sunday to start the baby retrieving process. Michelle is at 39 weeks and they think the baby will gain weight better out then in, so out it is. We are still hoping that maybe tonight or tomorrow morning she will start on her own, but we will just have to wait and see on that. Stay tuned to this channel for any more updates on this breaking story. Reporting live from my house...Have a great night everyone.

So I finally copied some recent pictures of the child so I can update his looks with all you blogger folks. Without delay, Mini-Me!

Still working, but moved in!

Yeah I've been busy lately, but we did finnaly get moved to the new house a month or so ago. Things are definately still a mess here, but it feels good to be in. Our attention is now focused on getting the old house finished and on the market. I'll get some pictures of the house up shortly once I relocate my camera. I suppose I could also get some pictures of Addison up too. He's been doing very well and amazes us daily at how fast he is learning and saying things now. Michelle is also getting along ok, but she will be glad once this summer is over so she can stay home for a while. More to come shortly...

Still working...

But the end is near. I think. At least I keep telling myself that. Its bound to work one of these days. We are hopefully at the final few weeks before the move now. The bathroom is just days from being functional, which is key to us living there. I plan to refinish the 1st story floors next weekend, and assuming that goes well, the move should be less then 2 weeks later. There has been a lot of painting going on as well. All the rooms and halls have been painted, with just the front and back stairways left. There is plenty of other things to do, but I should be able to work on those once we move North.

And now in other news...
We have other motivation in getting our houses done and sold. To those I haven't talked to in a while, we are expecting our second child on Labor day. Fitting, huh? We'll see if we can hit it just for fun... We are at 16 weeks today. Everything is going well with Michelle so far other then just feeling everything sooner then with Addison. I think thats it for now. If I forgot anything, I'm sure I'll mention it in my next post...whenever that may be...
