Weekend Update

So here we are again at Friday night, its 8:30, and I want to go to bed. Exciting. Addison's checkup for his heart showed he was fine. This is after the chest x-ray, EKG, and echo cardiogram (ultrasound). So they say his heart is fine, but he had high blood pressure. After 20+ mins of testing, its still high, so we again must return to the doctor. Fast forward to Thursday, blood pressure is fine, so we don't need to see another specialist about that. We talked to a doctor in the family over Easter, and now figure we will probably have his surgery in Iowa City at the University Hospitals. We want the best possible doctors preforming these minor repairs, and it seems that will probably be the right place to do it. Mind you that is subject to change. Other then that, he's good to go.

We continue to finalize the details on the Casa de Ponce. It was nice the bank allowed all the carpet to be removed, so that saves us time and money, and also let us see the floors during our home inspection yesterday. I guess you can say the home passed, mind you the list of repairs is large, but its almost all stuff I already have full intentions on upgrading and replacing. So I got that going for me, which is nice. Closing is still planned for the 11th of May barring any bank issues. Then double the fun begins. So many fiestas, so little time..

Tag I'm It...

Meme Tag

Tagged by Shel, I must fill this out:

Six Weird Qualities or Habits I Have:

1. I can't own a rug with tassels on the end because I feel the need to brush them so that they are tidy and all parallel with one another.

2. I like to eat my potato chips with ketchup.

3. I like mashed potatoes (real or fake, I don't care) with just butter, no gravy.

4. I am obsessed with cleaning, yet my house is never clean...unless there are people coming over that night.

5. I love to walk in neighborhoods with huge old houses, and I like to imagine that I live in one of them.

6. I love to gut old houses...there is no higher high than smashing walls with a sledgehammer!

Still Cute!!

Turns out he's still cute. He still seems to have a nasty habit of clawing at his head while tired or fussy, but that seems to be getting better all the time now. We went out and got him a Jumperoo, which he is starting to really enjoy now that he has figured out the whole moving the legs together thing. The colorful pile of toys in the front are also enough to keep him happy for a while. He also now has perfected the art of flipping from his back and rolling to his stomach to the left. All the time. Constantly. Which isn't a problem, except that he can't get back to his back yet, so he gets mad after a few minutes of flopping around. He will then flip right back over as soon as as you put him on his back again. Its a game with no real winner at this point. The scary thing is that he is becoming mobile, so that means movement is coming soon, and we are not ready for that yet. Guess its about time to pick up the power tools.
In other news, the photo gallery now contains almost 250 pictures, so please take a look at his constant growth. Gotta love the digital camera. I may attempt to get some video online as well, i just haven't played with that software just yet.
Thats it for now. I'll post updates from the doctors as those appointments take place (4th and 11th so far) Until then, keep on rolling.
